Synopsis:
One city, two different worlds. A short meditation on life in the city, shot on the same day in two very different parts of Dublin. Bull Island wakes up its smokestacks, barges and passing seagulls, while in the multi-cultural enclave of Stoneybatter on the city's north side, a small barbershop serves two purposes: providing both haircuts and social interaction for Dublin's growing Congolese community. The mixing of imagery with non-synch sound and time lapse footage illustrates the undulating rhythm of life in a changing city. Featured in the film are Wiliam Miel, Yves, Longondo, Helloson, Antonio, J.C. Mamgala & Nelly Kadima. Directed & edited by Jessie Ward & Susie Morrell.
Shot on a Sony EX1, edited & color corrected & Post FX done using Final Cut Studio.
